Day 5: Lhasa Train Arrival → Hotel
The Experience:
Today, the Chengdu to Lhasa train arrives in Lhasa, the spiritual heart of Tibet and one of the highest cities in the world.
Upon arrival at the railway station, your local Tibetan guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.
The rest of the day is reserved for acclimatization and rest. At an altitude of around 3,650 meters, allowing the body time to gradually adapt is very important for a comfortable Tibet travel experience.
It is recommended to move slowly, drink plenty of water, and avoid intense physical activity during the first day in Lhasa.
