Tagong Grassland lies about 110 km west of Kangding in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Sitting on the eastern edge of the Tibetan plateau, it is known for vast alpine meadows, roaming yaks, and distant snow mountains.
The name “Tagong” means “favorite place” in Tibetan — a fitting description for its open skies and serene highland atmosphere.
