Overview
Mount Siguniang (Siguniangshan), formerly known as Four Sisters Mountain, is one of western Sichuan’s most iconic alpine destinations. The name refers to four adjacent snow peaks, with Yaomei Peak rising to 6,250 meters as the highest.
The region is known for glacier landscapes, deep forested valleys, crystal-clear rivers, and Tibetan villages — offering some of China’s best accessible mountain trekking.
Why Visit
Mount Siguniang combines dramatic Himalayan-style scenery with relatively convenient access from Chengdu. Unlike more remote plateau regions, it offers structured valley routes suitable for both casual travelers and serious hikers.
The contrast of sharp snow peaks, alpine meadows, grazing yaks, and flowing streams creates a peaceful yet powerful mountain atmosphere. Whether you choose scenic exploration or multi-day trekking, the experience feels immersive and expansive.
