Itinerary
Day 1: Chengdu → Bifengxia Panda Base → Ya'an → Labahe Nature Reserve
The Experience:
We leave Chengdu in the morning by private vehicle and drive about 2 hours to Ya’an, a historic tea-growing city known as the birthplace of the famous Mengding tea.
Our main stop is Bifengxia Panda Base, where we spend around half a day visiting the giant pandas and learning about Sichuan’s long-term panda conservation and breeding work. Compared with Chengdu’s more urban panda base, Bifengxia has a greener, more mountainous setting, which makes the experience feel closer to the pandas’ natural environment.
After lunch, we continue by private vehicle toward Labahe Nature Reserve.
After arriving in the late afternoon, check into our accommodation near the reserve, and keep the rest of the day relaxed after the drive.

Day 2: Labahe Nature Reserve
The Experience:
Today is dedicated to exploring Labahe Nature Reserve.
After breakfast, we head into the reserve and spend the morning walking through its forested mountain landscapes, where the quiet environment gives us the best chance to observe wildlife. Labahe is part of the rich mountain ecosystems of western Sichuan and is home to species such as golden snub-nosed monkeys, takins, deer, and many forest birds.
We take our time rather than rushing between viewpoints, stopping to listen and watch along the trails. After lunch, we continue with another hiking or wildlife-watching session, depending on conditions. The experience here is less about ticking off attractions and more about spending time in a protected natural environment.

We have a relaxed start today, with time for breakfast and a final walk around the area near our accommodation before leaving Labahe.
If conditions are suitable and you would like more wildlife observation, we can make a short stop in the reserve before beginning the return journey.
Depending on traffic, the drive takes roughly 3–4 hours from Labahe to Chengdu. After arriving, we will drop you off at your hotel.Â
