Visit Dujiangyan Panda Valley. Around 09:00 to 10:30, it’s their most active time when they are eating and playing. It is quieter, less crowded, and more natural than the Chengdu city base.

Drive to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System.
14:00–17:30
Explore the Dujiangyan Irrigation System Scenic Area, including Lidui Park and Qingxiyuan Bonsai Garden.

Drive to Zhongshuge Bookstore and make a stop there. You can have a short rest or take some photos there.

It was a relaxing day trip from Chengdu. We wanted to visit the irrigation system only, but Molly recommended the panda valley. It was surprisingly great. Our driver Lao Zhang took us to a beef restaurant, and I liked the dishes very much. Thanks.
